Howdy Reader,
I’m Josh. I grew up outside of Tulsa, Ok in a little town called Sapulpa. My parents raised me around all kinds of music. My mom’s love of country and gospel and my dad’s love of jazz and funk all contributed to my need to express. I was fortunate to have a music teacher in the second grade that believed I should try-out for Oliver! Since then I’ve been on a mission to create memorable and honest theatre so that any audience may explore what life and love have to offer.
My passion for storytelling continues to grow. After spending a gap year assistant teaching Kindergarten, my passions brought me to Viterbo University to pursue a BFA degree in Music Theatre with minors in Arts Administration and Dance. I loved my time at Viterbo— meeting my very best friends. After school I have taken a few year back at home. I have learned so much to fuel my art. I’ve been performing daily in the classroom. I am very proud to teach math at an alternative high school— Bartlett Academy. I’ve succeeded in creating the sacred relationship of student and teacher. Still, I am pursuing my career in theatre; theatre is the love of my life. The simple love I have for creating theatre is precious to me. It has taught me more about myself than I thought possible. Shows are like chapters of my life, and I remain grateful for each one.
With Love
Joshua
